Warlock Class Information

Faithful Servants of the Crown of Tethyr,
Suffer not the Warlock to live. Who else has given away their humanity, their will and very soul to the Outsider? Who else has forsaken the love and light of all gods, instead seeking to Pact with a being eternally in opposition to all Creation?

Only the Warlock has declared himself no longer a member of humanity; only the Warlock, has declared himself apart from the gods. Only the Warlock, whose wicked powers are derived from all that this world is not, seeks to estrange himself from Creation, and for what?

The power to command the devil, or the demon; the company of the incubus and succubus. It is weakness, frailty, and moral depravity that lead to these choices. And who makes this Pact, in exchange for paltry powers scorned before the Watcher, only to allow their Host access to our world and the precious faithful within it?

Only the Warlock.

Be it known. The Warlock is an enemy of Tethyr, and Her Queen, as much they are enemy of Helm, the Watcher. The Helmite Inquisition will endorse you in this task.

You are to kill Warlocks. They are not to be jailed, for our hospitality is too good for them. They are not to be given trial, for our Tethyrian Justice is too good for them. They are to be put to the sword, and their heads shall dangle from the ramparts of this mighty castle at Lockwood Falls Barony. Let the grim expressions of their dead faces tell the tale of their stupid and wasteful follies of the spirit.

Signed,
Inquisitor Alejandro Valdez of the Order of the Radiant Heart

Warlock Class Information
Born of a supernatural bloodline, a warlock seeks to master the perilous magic that suffuses his soul. Unlike sorcerers or wizards, who approach arcane magic through the medium of spells, a warlock invokes powerful magic through nothing more than an effort of will. By harnessing his innate magical gift through fearsome determination and force of will, a warlock can perform feats of supernatural stealth, beguile the weak-minded, or scatter his foes with blasts of eldritch power. But this power comes at the cost of contact with sinister and often chaotic forces.

In Faerun, most Warlocks worship Gargauth. The Outcast makes an ideal patron for warlocks seeking to gain power and influence in the world.

  1. […] Warlock Unspeakable were the terms through which Warlocks gained their strength, but the potency of their eldritch blasts exceeded the destructive power of other mortals. They could also manifest invocations of a sort that affected themselves only. A warlock in Tethyr contends with a long-standing hatred of outsiders thanks to tales of genies being prevalent in the Empires of Sands.
